Lindsey Graham: A Senator Fighting For Everyone But You
Donald Trump Has Endorsed The Least Popular Republican In South Carolina, But Republican Voters In The State Have Other Plans
As South Carolina approaches the 2026 elections, the state stands at a pivotal crossroads, faced with a choice that will shape its representation in Washington, D.C., and its priorities for years to come. For decades, Senator Lindsey Graham has been a dominant figure in the Palmetto State’s political landscape, wielding influence and shaping national policy in all the wrong ways. In 2026, voters will have a critical opportunity to decide: will we continue to allow Senator Graham to steer our voice in Washington toward distant horizons, or will we choose a new leader who remembers the people here at home?
Senator Lindsey Graham’s long tenure in Washington, D.C., paints a troubling picture for most South Carolinians who feel their representation has been lost in his foreign entanglements. His track record tells a story of cozying up to radical Democrats, cheerleading, provoking, and funding constant foreign wars, and turning his back on the constitutional values that the people of this state hold dear. Trumps endorsement of the detested Senator has raised a few eyebrows. As the 2026 election looms, it’s time to unpack this record and consider seriously that it’s time for a change.
The Warmonger-In-Chief
Lindsey Graham’s all-consuming-love of foreign war can be summed up in just two words: “Game on.” That was his gleeful Tweet when war broke out between Israel and Iran two weeks ago—a tweet that sounded less like a senator and more like someone tailgating at a warzone. This wasn’t a one-off. Graham’s never seen a foreign country he didn’t want Americans to die in: Iraq, Afghanistan, Somalia, North Korea, Russia, Libya, Syria, Ukraine, Israel, and now Iran. He’s been America’s most reliable warmonger, calling for interventions while the people of South Carolina a foot the governments bill while they struggle to pay their own.
He was in Kyiv long before the 2022 Russia invasion, goading the Ukrainians into war and promising American intervention. He’s sponsored endless amounts of money in Ukraine aid and praised Zelenskyy, a president who refuses to hold elections, a sort of saint. Then when things went south for Zelenskyy at the White House, he called for Zelenskyy’s resignation like he was ghosting a blind date. And now he’s back, beating the Drums of War not just for Iran.
A Tradition of Betrayal
Graham’s flip-flopping isn’t a glitch; it’s a design feature. After riding Trump’s coattails in the most expensive Senate race in U.S. history in 2020, he dramatically declared he was “done” with Trump on January 6, 2021. Then, realizing Trump’s support wasn’t going anywhere, he crawled back to “daddy” like nothing ever happened. The cherry on top? He suggested Trump supporters “should have been shot in the head” on January 6th—a chilling statement for someone dependent on those same supporters to win election.
And let’s not forget his bromance with Joe Biden. When Biden was elected, Graham has praised him as a “decent man” and a “friend”, saying there “must be something wrong” with anyone who doesn’t feel the same way. All that while Biden's time in office hit South Carolina’s middle class like a freight train with no breaks.
Belle of the Beltway?
Over the years, Senator Graham has been the subject of persistent and decades-old narrative regarding his involvement in Washington DCs Gay Community, where he has earned the moniker “Lady G”. Speculation that has followed him through the halls of Capitol Hill and LGBTQ circles alike, culminating in several Gay Sex Workers and Porn Actors claiming to have been hired by Lindsey Graham. While Graham has never publicly acknowledged these claims and has long maintained a carefully guarded private life, the rumors persist—fueled, perhaps, as much by his bachelor status and inconsistent positions on Gay rights as by Washington’s fondness for a good hypocrite.
While Graham courts defense contractors, Capitol cocktail parties, and rent-boys at Washington Gay Clubs, back home the people of South Carolina are fed up. Crumbling roads, rising prices, stagnant wages —real problems, faced by real people, regularly ignored by Lindsey. Graham talks endlessly about Ukraine and Iran, but when was the last time he championed an economic initiative for South Carolina? We deserve better than a senator who sees his own state little more than a layover between television appearances.
Do We Have An Alternative?
The People of South Carolina are desperate for a new Senator. A recent Winthrop Poll found Grahams approval rating Statewide standing at just 34%. Every time Lindsey Graham makes a public appearance in South Carolina he finds himself booed into silence and rushed off stage in embarrassment. From Donald Trump clowning Graham himself, to South Carolina voters shouting him down as a “Warmonger”, Graham has few friends left in the Palmetto State. Currently, there is one viable challenger to Senator Lindsey Graham. Mr. Mark Lynch, an independently wealthy businessman from the South Carolina upstate has thrown his hat into the ring and has shown early signs of success. With a strong grassroots base in the upstate, political operatives, donors, and pundits in the South Carolina Low Country have begun to notice him as well and are liking what they’ve seen so far.
Will anyone else join the race? Will anyone be able to unseat the intrenched disaster that is Lindsey Graham?
Only time will tell.
During the summer of 1994, a relatively unknown Lindsey Graham was running for Congress and he debated South Carolina's Third District Congressman incumbent Butler Derrick, on SCETV. I watched and one thing Lindsey said was how he had to raise his sister with proceeds from Social Security. I won't go into why, but when I heard him say that, and considering the rest of his resume I realized he was a life-long dependent of the US Government. As far as I know he has no real private sector life experiences.
Now he's the Senior Senator from SC and he appears to be bought and paid for. For decades SC Republicans have claimed the state is the most conservative state in the US. That has never been true; although SC may be the most Republican state in the US, there's a big difference. Now that many Democrats are fleeing that party, and joining the Republican Party, the party is becoming less conservative by the day. Lindsey knows this.
I had the privilege to interview Mark Lynch, what a fine candidate for the US Senate. I live in Washington State, but I was so impressed with hearing his message he has the heart of a true patriot. I thought this was someone that the listeners of our radio station should listen to. It was aired on Thursday, June 25th. I got a lot of positive comments that said I hope the people in South Carolina put this guy in the Senate. I believe getting Lindsey Graham out and Mark in will be a win for all of America. We need real, honest Americans in the Senate who will not sell out to the corrupt special interests and lobby to send billions of dollars to foreign countries. Mark believes in taking care of Americans first and we have plenty of people who are facing hard times because of the disastrous hurricane and fires that have lost everything they own, their homes, and their communities. This is where those billions should be going. I know when Mark is in Washington D.C., occupying a seat in the Senate, he will be fighting with everything he’s got to see that money is allocated to help those who are down and out because of a disaster, rebuild their lives. He will be a strong supporter in helping President Trump in his work to restore America. All that to say, please, South Carolina put a real American patriot in the Senate.
